Jetty and Koos Van Rijn - The End of the Line

Nos échanges ont débuté en 2002. A l'époque, je cherchais notre premier terre neuve marron. Nous avons finalement eu l'immense chance qu'ils nous confient Zenshin, et ils nous ont fait l'immense honneur d'accueillir notre "Esprit Sage" dit Dion.

Nous avons la même passion pour ces fabuleux chiens, nous aimons le même type, le type Européen, qui devient aujourd'hui beaucoup plus rare au proffit du type américain. Ils ont une connaissance phénoménale de la race, ce sont de véritables chercheurs, historiens, jamais je n'ai vu de site aussi complet et riche sur les gènes de couleur, la nourriture, l'histoire du terre neuve... Je leur suis infiniement reconnaissante de tout ce qu'ils m'ont appris, transmis. Je les estime profondément.

We started our exchanges in 2002. At this time I was looking for my first brown newf. We finally had the enormous chance that we got Zenshin from them in 2006, and they honored us by taking our "Esprit Sage" called Dion .

We have the same passion for this wonderfull dog, and we like the same type of newf, the european type, which becomes more rare nowadays for the benefit of the american type.. Koos and Jetty have an incredible knwoledge about the breed, they are real Researchers, historians. I've never seen such a a complete and rich website, about color's genes, feeding, newfoundland history... I am very gratefull to them for all they made me learn. I esteem them profoundly.
 

 
Sandrine Chapelin - d'Une Légende d'Ebène et de Bronze

J'ai rencontré Sandrine au club de travail à l'eau en 2004, elle en était la trésorière et son mari Christophe Président et moniteur. A l'époque, jamais je n'aurais imaginé prendre un affixe, même avoir une seconde femelle, une portée! Tout cela Sandrine y a énormément contribué, en me transmettant sa passion pour l'élevage, et en me prodiguant généreusement entre autre tous les conseils nécessaires pour mener à bien une portée. Jamais je n'oublierais le premier chiot que j'ai vu naître chez elle. Je l'en remercie profondément...

I've met Sandrine in the Waterwork club in 2005. They created it with her husband, Christophe. At this time I would never have thought about having a second female, a litter, breeding newfoundlands! All this, Sandrine have influenced me a lot about it, by transmitting me her breeding passion! She generously made me learn all the essential things to have and handle a litter, I will never forget the first puppy's birth I've seen in her home. I thank her deeply for all that.
 
 

 

COCO et BOUBA

Il y a tant à dire sur ce couple exceptionnel que je ne sais par où commencer. J'entends encore résonner dans le téléphone la voix de Coco me disant après un long premier échange : "C'est bon, on le prend". Cette manière un peu abrupte de me parler de mon dernier bébé mâle disponible m'avait à la fois un peu désarçonnée, et à la fois complètement confortée sur sa future famille. Seulement 3 ans après, la somme de ce qu'ils ont accomplis ensemble est déjà impressionnante. Coco fut la première à me parler de l'école des chiots selon la méthode de Joseph Ortega, qui contribue tant à l'équilibre du chiot. Puis se sont enchainées les succès en expos, aidées par l'immense savoir-faire de Sandrine Lanteri/ élevage Vallis Madea que je remercie au passage, la travail à l'eau où Coco est désormais devenue la présidente du club Terre Neuve 06, et enfin l'obérythmée où ce fabuleux couple est arrivé à la seconde place du Grand Prix de France 2009... Tout cela tout en douceur et fermeté, sans jamais lever la main sur Bouba malgré son caractère bien affirmé, simplement en l'aimant, le respectant, et en passant beaucoup, beaucoup de temps avec lui.

Ma Coco, tu as mon plus grand respect, tu m'as déjà tant appris, tant apporté de joies, de fiertés... Je te remercie pour tout cela, mais te remercie encore plus, du fond du coeur, pour l'existence exceptionnelle que Bouba aura vécu grâce à toi, et que je vous souhaite de vivre ensemble très très très longtemps. MERCI COCO!
 

There are so many things to say about this incredible couple that I do not know how to start... I still hear Coco's voice in the telephone, after our long first talk, saying "Ok, we take it". This way a little bit "direct" to speak about my last little male puppy available in the mean time "surprised" me, and also convinced me about his future family. More that 3 years later, the amount of what they hve done together is just impressive. Coco was the first one to use and tell me a bout the "Puppy school" from Joseph Ortega's Method, which contributes so much to the future well beeing and to the balance of your dog. Then the show's success, helped by the enormous knowledge from Sandrine Lanteri/ breeding name "Vallis Madea" who I thank for that, the waterwork in which Coco just became the President of the Terre Neuve 06 club, and finally the Oberythmée Activity, (dancing with th dog activity, I do not know the name in english!), where this faboulus couple won the 2d place during the French 2009 Championship! All that softly and with firmness, never being violent with him in spite of his strong character, simply by loving him, respecting him, and giving him a lot a lot of time.

My dear Coco, you have my total respect, you made me already learn so much, you gave me so much joy, so many prides... I thank you for all that. But most of all, I thank you so much to have given to Bouba the opportunity to live such an incredible life... And I wish you both to continue to live it for a very, very long time. Thank you so much COCO!
